What is rafting ?

Rafting is a river sport that consists of navigating rapids aboard an inflatable inflatable boat called a raft led by an instructor. Participants sit aboard the raft and use paddles to propel and steer the boat through the rapids. It is an activity that can be practiced at different levels of difficulty, ranging from Discovery courses for beginners to more Sporty courses for thrill seekers.

What equipment should you provide for rafting activities in Serre-Chevalier ?

To practice rafting in Serre-Chevalier, it is recommended to provide the following equipment:

– Swimsuit: it is preferable to wear a swimsuit rather than shorts which may ride up during the descents.
– Towel to dry off
– a sweatshirt or jacket when it is cold to warm up after the activity

We provide you with all the necessary technical equipment such as:

– Closed neoprene shoes with good grip are recommended to protect the feet and prevent slipping
– Neoprene suits to protect you from the cold water.
– Lycra to protect against the sun and avoid sunburn
– K-Way to protect against splashing water
– The protective helmet which is compulsory for rafting
– The life jacket which is also compulsory and must be permanently worn.

Is rafting accessible to people with disabilities ?

Yes, we have a 2h30 private session rafting handisport where we agree together on a program that will adapt to everyone’s desires and possibilities.

We have developed specific equipment with a stable and comfortable foam seat that we install in the raft.
We have modified wetsuits by adding zips to them for “getting dressed without getting nervous”.
It is also possible to practice hydrospeed in tandem with the instructor for children and small builds.
The air-boat is a great activity possible with independent learning of the river of currents.

Group rafting, what are the possibilities ?
Our ideas for à la carte rafting packages for groups of up to 90 people, suitable for different occasions:
EVG (Bachelor Party) or EVJF (Bachelor Party Girl):
– Formula “Raft Challenge”: a rafting course strewn with obstacles and challenges to be met as a team.
– Formula “Raft & Fun”: a quieter descent embellished with games and humorous challenges.

Team building:
– “Raft & Cohesion” formula: a team rafting descent with cohesion exercises to strengthen solidarity and collaboration.
– Formula “Raft & Leadership”: a descent supervised by a guide who will highlight the leadership skills of certain participants to promote team decision-making.

Company outing:
– “Raft & Challenge” formula: a descent dotted with physical and intellectual challenges to stimulate creativity, communication and team decision-making.
– Formula “Raft & Strategy”: a descent supervised by a guide who offers strategy exercises to strengthen the managerial skills of the participants.

It is important to choose a formula adapted to each level to guarantee a successful and safe experience for all participants.

Is it possible to take your mobile phone on the rafting ?
Il est fortement déconseillé de prendre son téléphone portable lors d’une activité de rafting, car il y a un risque élevé de le perdre ou de l’endommager en cas de chute dans l’eau ou de choc avec les rochers.
Il est donc préférable de laisser votre téléphone portable dans un endroit sûr avant de commencer votre descente en rafting.
What are the payment methods ?
– We do not accept credit card payments on site.
– We accept payment in cash, by check, in cryptocurrency and by ANCV check.
– We also offer the possibility of booking and paying online by credit card via our booking platform.
From what age can children go rafting, kayaking, hydrospeed or air-boating ?
– Rafting: from 6 years old, this is the time when the child manages in the water. The child must know how to swim. He must be motivated!
– Hydrospeed: from 7 years old, depending on the size we have small wetsuits, call us to discuss it. The child must be a good swimmer and he must already know how to use flippers (in the swimming pool at the sea).
– Air-boat: from 7 years old, the child must know how to use a double paddle, eg: Canoe-Kayak on a body of water… We can also put him in a cano-raft with one of the parents.
– Kayak: from 6 years old we offer beginner kayak courses suitable for children from 6 years old on a calm and secure body of water. Our instructors provide progressive and personalized teaching according to the level of each child.
Accompanying persons are not doing the activity, what can they do while waiting ?
300 m from the Rafting Experience base, it is possible to visit the picturesque village of Le Bez. It is possible to walk up the river and have the opportunity to see the rafts pass on the river. The Prélong shopping center with shops is 400m away.
Are there places to eat near the Rafting-Experience base ?
Yes, in Villeneuve there are many restaurants, at the edge of the lake, at the Prèlong shopping center and in the rue de la Guisane in the old village.
What actions are carried out at Rafting-Expérience for the planet, to reduce CO2 emissions ?

We have a shuttle system using public transportation vehicles for our clients, including two buses with capacities of 16 and 28 seats. This is a simple and effective way to limit CO2 emissions during our excursions.

Our team is environmentally aware, and members frequently organize carpooling for commuting to work.

Our rafting activities have no impact on the river as we do not extract or introduce anything into the environment.

Our brochures are made from recycled paper and are also recyclable.

We have a waste sorting system in place at our base.
